Now that the independence of Kosova draws nearer even the long held hopes of all Albanians seem to find renewed strength and increased expectation. The Prime Minister of Kosova Hashim Thaçi, and those around him claim that the independence of Kosova will happen soon.
A growing number of media sources confirm this and they claim that the set date will be the third Sunday of the month, or 17th of February 2008. Moreover, media reports say that the government of Kosova has prepared a detailed plan for the independence day as well as for the request for the recognition of the new state by the other countries.
I’ve had an offer to go to Kosova this weekend, but have not still made a final decision, however the temptation is great as this will be a historic event.
