On Saturday night, Top Channel broadcasted the Supermodel of the Worldâ contest for Albania. This event is organized in 50 different countries of the world, with the goal to search for the pre-eminent model in all these countries to find fashion’s newest faces year after year.
Xheni Koçi, of 19 years old, was the event’s winner and will now represent Albania in the SuperModel of the World to be held in New York, in January 2008.
The winner of the international final event receives the industry’s largest prize, a $250,000 modeling contract with Ford Models. The two runners up also receive contracts of $150,000 and $100,000 respectively.
This was the third year such an event was organized in Albania and I’m convinced it is a great encouragement to the local fashion industry. Personally, I am glad that such events take place here because they do contribute to improving the country’s image in the world.

I forgot to mention this in the post, but personally I did not think that Xheni was the best choice.
I think that you are right. I did not like xheni either. She is nice, but she was not the best
